一つ目の理論は、脳の中で既知のことを認知する領域と、記憶を呼び出す領域があること。これらは通常同期しているが、まれにこの認知領域が誤認識してしまうことでdéjà vuが生じる。もう一つは人間が記憶する際に、新たな出来事が短期ではなく長期間の記憶プロセスを経てしまって、以前に起きたことと感じてしまうこと。(147語)
