新しい学年や学校での初めての定期テストもほぼ終わり、いよいよ夏に向けて予定を立てる時期ですね。暑さにまだ体が慣れていないので体調を崩しやすい時期でもあります。みんなが元気に過ごしてくれればうれしいです。
それでは、MEL News (2014年6月号)をお届けします。

News-1 デイキャンプ日程決定!8月7日(木)@相模湖プレジャーフォレスト
去年に引き続き、今年も相模湖プレジャーフォレスト http://www.sagamiko-resort.jp/ に出かけてバーベキューやアトラクションなどが楽しめるデイキャンプを実施します。学年、クラスをまたがっての行事は去年参加した生徒や保護者の方からは大変好評をいただきました。三鷹から貸し切りバスで1時間半程度なので、乗り物酔いを心配していた生徒さんたちも元気に楽しく行って帰ってこられました。去年参加した生徒さんはもちろん、参加できなかった生徒さん、新入生はぜひご参加ください。費用は5,000円(三鷹からの交通費、入園費、昼食代)を予定しています。
詳しくは次回MEL Newsでお知らせします。

News-2 ジュニア1クラスを増設!
4月から開始した中学1年生向けクラスJunior-1(月・木 7:45-9:30)は、5月22日から同じ時間帯に追加クラスを設けました。長らくクラス開設をお待ちいただいた生徒さんにはご迷惑をおかけしましたが、ぜひこれから頑張ってください。クラス増設に伴い新入生向けの枠が出来ましたので、お知り合いなどいらっしゃいましたらお知らせください。

News-3 新教室開設
ジュニアクラス増設に伴い、MEL Schoolが入居している三鷹第二ビルの3階に新しい教室を開設しました。本年度はAdvancing Classが利用しています。

News-4 アンケート調査ご協力のお願い
今年も生徒さんの学習状況アンケートへのご協力をお願いします。目的は、学校での使用教科書や課外活動などを把握すること、そしてご家庭からのご意見をいただくことにより、今後のスクール運営をよりよいものにしていくことです。

Update-1 2014年度第1回英検実施要項
2014年度第1回英検は6月8日(日)です。(3級以上の面接試験は7月6日)
2級以外はMEL School での受験になります。集合時間および終了予定は以下の通りです。

5級      13:10 集合        終了予定 14:20

Update-2 感染症のご連絡について
先日あるクラスで、生徒さんが百日咳に罹っていたことが後からわかったという連絡を保護者の方からいただきました。通常ワクチン接種が済んでいる中学生の発症はないため、咳が続いていた原因がわからなかったそうです。該当クラスには連絡をし、もし同様の症状が出た場合は病院で百日咳の可能性があることを伝えるよう呼びかけました。幸い感染はありませんでした。
今回は保護者の方のお気遣いから呼びかけができましたので、感謝しております。
今後お子様が空気感染、飛沫感染の可能性がある病気に罹った場合は、ぜひその旨お知らせください。感染拡大をできるだけ未然に防ぐ努力をしてまいります。

Update-3 服装について
MEL Schoolでは英語を使ってコミュニケーションをする力を身につけるためのスクールです。そのための学習に相応しい環境を保つために、服装や身だしなみ、マナーについて守ってもらいたいルールがあります。ご存知のことかと思いますが、季節の変わり目でもありますので、以下の点についてご注意頂けますようお願いします。
