News-1 2015年第1回英検実施のご案内
2015年度第1回の英検実施要項をお知らせします。
*5級、4級、3級、準2級はMEL Schoolで実施
一次試験実施日時 6月7日(日)
 二次試験(3級以上の一次合格者対象)7月5日(日)
5級    13:10 集合  14:20 終了予定 検定料 1,500円     
4級      9:40 集合  11:10 終了予定 検定料 1,600円
3級    13:10 集合  14:40 終了予定 検定料 2,800円
準2級     9:40 集合  11:35 終了予定 検定料 4,100円
2級    13:00 集合  15:15    終了予定 検定料 5,000円 (本会場受験)

申込締切 5月13日(水)
受験希望者はスクールの用紙に受験級と名前を記入し、締切までに検定料を名前を書いた封筒に入れて持参してください。

News-2 大学入試でも英語を使う力が求められます
TOEFLやTEAPなど、英語の試験に「読む・聞く・話す・書く」の4技能をすべて測定する大学が増えてきました。(上智、立教、中央大学など)
4技能を測定する代表的なテストTOEFLを運営するETSの行った立教大学教授の松本茂先生のインタビューでは、なぜ4技能の測定が大学入試において必要なのかが説明されています。

2006年の設立以来、MEL School では英語を自ら使う力を身につけるための練習活動を中心にレッスンを行っていますが、学校の英語授業との違いに戸惑う生徒さんもいるのも事実です。
大学入試改革の狙いを理解することで、日常行っている練習で得られることを認識し、集中して学習に取り組んでほしいと思います。
また、4技能を測定する試験について知りたい高校生は、6月5日に立教大学で開催される以下のイベントに参加してみてはいかがでしょうか。

Update-1 ゴールデンウィークのお休みについて
ゴールデンウィークは5月4日(月), 5日(火), 6日(水)のレッスンはお休みです。

間もなく10年目を迎えるMEL Schoolは、おかげさまで生徒の数も100名ほどになり、現在常勤2名、非常勤2名の講師が指導にあたっています。
また、4月からは火、水、金、土曜日は5時15分からサポートタイムとレッスンが入っています。
